14 billion to be spent on construction of rural roads
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar is all step to change the fate of its people by his bold and developing decisions. In his statement, he directed the launch of the second phase of “Naya Pakistan – Manzilein Asaan’ programme. At the cost of Rs14 billion, it was instructed by CM that 154 rural roads with a total length of 1,076 kilometers would be constructed across the rural areas of Punjab.
The respective programme is a flagship project of the PTI government, aims to benefit the farmers as it would ameliorate the trade and economic activities by improving modes of transportation and living standards of people living in these areas. In a statement, CM Buzdar briefed that in the first phase of this programme 1,236 roads were constructed and repaired at a cost of Rs. 15 billion. Being an aspirant for a developed Pakistan, he assured that special funds would also allocate for this programme in the next fiscal year.
