CDA To Expedite Development Work On IJP Road
Islamabad: The work on IJP Road has sped up. Laborers involved in the construction of IJP Road have accelerated the process to complete the project within the proposed time period.
The building in front of the Carriage Factory and the toll plaza has been demolished to widen the road. Furthermore, flyover pillars for the one-year flyover project are also being constructed at Faqir Aipee road.
A two-lane road is also under construction to reduce dense traffic between New Katarian and Faizabad.
Soil testing of four areas has been carried out, thus the decision of increasing the pace of work has been implemented. The digging work at Mandi Mor has begun and stall setups have been removed to broaden the road.
Laborers are working two shifts, 12 hours each, on the orders of the executing agency.
Sources reveal that an interchange will be constructed as well, located on 9th Avenue and Stadium Road.
As mentioned by an official, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) requested the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for a NOC to adjoin Leh Expressway with the 10th Avenue and IJP Road.
The Leh Expressway (signal-free road starting from Ammar Chowk to New Kataria) is a project of RDA, whereas 10th Avenue and IJP Road are projected by CDA.
