KP Govt. approves Road Projects to Promote Tourism
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved three road infrastructure projects to ensure easy access of tourists to the historic touristic spots of the province.
According to official handout, these projects include a road to Sheikh Badin, Lakki Marwat, upgradation & rehabilitation of 24km Thandiani Road, Abbottabad and Mankyal Road, Swat had been approved by the Provincial Working Development Party (PDWP).
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan has termed these projects as of vital importance for the promotion of tourism activities in the province. He was briefed that the completion of these projects will prove a milestone in boosting tourism in the province.
He was informed in the meeting that the cost estimation and designing of other three approach roads — 40km Kalam-Kumrat Road (Swat), 52km Patrak Kumrat Tori Oba Road (Upper Dir) and 16km Thal Jahaz Banda Road (Upper Dir) — had also been completed.
