RDA Forwards Notices to 4 Illegal Housing Societies in Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi: Under the direction of Director General Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) sent notices to the owners of four illegal private housing developments.
These societies include: Al-Buraq Enclave in Rawat, Pak Sar Zameen Town at Chakri Road, and Century Town Housing Scheme
The authority also issued warnings to the sponsors, advising them to stop marketing unapproved and unlawful housing proposals at once and secure No Objection Certificates and legal approval instead. They would risk severe legal consequences if they did not.
RDA has already filed First Information Reports against Pak Sar Zameen Town near Chakri Road and Century Town, two illegal housing developments. The Director MP&TE has also been instructed to take action against illicit marketing and advertising.
He added that FIRs ought to be filed against illegitimate housing projects like South City Developers for unauthorised social media promotion. It is pertinent to state that South City Developers is not within the RDA-controlled region but rather in District Attock.
Furthermore, the public has been urged to avoid making investments in illegal housing projects and to check the status of all housing projects on the RDA’s official website.
