Sindh Govt Declares More than 300 Housing Schemes Illegal
Karachi: 313 unauthorised housing schemes in the province had received notifications from the Directorate Town Planning Sindh Master Plan Authority.
The administration has already posted a list of these unlicensed housing projects. These illegal housing projects are dispersed throughout the province’s 37 tehsils and 28 districts.
Hyderabad Districts has 20, Naushahro Feroze has 74, Mirpur Khas has 23, Matiari has 18, Sukkur has 14, Khairpur has 19, Nawabshah has 24, and Larkana has 11, according to the administration.
The Sindh Building Control Authority, Karachi, has published a list of some of the schemes that have been ruled illegal.
The Directorate Town Planning Sindh Master Plan Authority has asked the public to review the list of prohibited plans before buying plots of land or houses in order to protect citizens from falling victim to fraud.
The government’s efforts to regulate the housing industry and make sure that developers follow the law include a crackdown on unauthorised housing developments.
The authority’s move is anticipated to result in the creation of safer and more secure housing developments throughout the province.
